A special postal cover and cancellation was released to mark the ‘sathabishekam’ (completion of 80 years) of Srimushnam Andavan Sri Rangaramanuja Maha Desikan here in Trichy on Thursday.
J.T.Venkateswarlu, Post-Master General, Central Region, Tamil Nadu, released the special cover and it was received by N.Ravi, Director, Kasturi and Sons Limited, publishers of The Hindu , and Venu Srinivasan, Chairman and Managing Director, TVS Motor Company, in the presence of Sri Rangaramanuja Maha Desikan.
‘Srimad Andavan Swamigal Arutthondu’ and other books on Srimad Andavan were also released on the occasion.
The ‘sathabishekam’ was performed on Thursday bringing to end the week-long celebrations marked by Veda parayanams during the morning and evenings.
Dance and music programmes and discourses were also organised as part of the celebrations. A large number of devotees offered worship to the Srimushnam Andavan Swamigal.
