The second Chaturmasya Sankalpam of His Holiness Srimad Andavan Srivaraha Mahadesikan which was telecast live on the official YouTube channel was watched by over 13000 people on 5th July 2020. The event which was observed at Srirangam Periashramam was also shown on Facebook, where a total of 25,000 people viewed the recording.
The event included tiruvaradhanai, parayanams, and the ritual mrithha-sangraham or collection of mud by Srimad Andavan. Later Srimad Andavan proceeded to the river Kollidam for a ritual dip, followed by the recitation of the actual sankalpam (ritual vow to stay in one place for four fortnights or pakshas). It concluded with an anugraha bhashanam or a divine discourse by Srimad Andavan.
Service to yatis and acharyas during their chaturmasya sankalpam period is considered especially auspicious and beneficial. Hence, the Srirangam Srimad Andavan Ashramam invites sishyas and abhimanis to sponsor thadiyaradhanai (sanctified meals) for kainkaryaparas and visitors on any day of our acharyan’s stay in Srirangam during the Chaturmasyam period (between 5th July and 2nd September 2020) to seek the blessings of our acharyan and the Divya-dampati. Sambhavanais for the chaturmasya sankalpam thadiyaradhanai can be made by clicking on this link.
