 Important Announcement – August 23, 2025

Srimad Andavan Srinivasa Ramanuja MahaDesikan’s 117th ThiruNakshathram (Avani Utthiram) is on Monday August 2025.

For this auspicious occasion, our Ashramam, with Anugraham of Srimad Andavan Srimad SriVaraha MahaDesikan, has digitized, redesigned and republished  2 old books in the form of pdf documents. This time around the pdf documents contain the actual texts and the pages are no more mere scanned images. New software automation has been designed and implemented to read images of old book pages, refine the images and extract text from the processed images at a very good pace. Because of the extracted text, redesigning, re-formatting and republishing an old book is now possible.

Here are the book titles and links to access the free, downloadable pdf documents.

1. ஆச்ரம வரலாறு – ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீநிவாஸராமானுஜ மஹாதேசிகன் – ஸ்ரீமத் மைஸூர் ஆண்டவன் (a booklet from the book titled “ஆச்ரம வரலாறு” published in 2012) – 14 pages

Who We Are

Srirangam Srimad Andavan Ashramam is an institution that is over three hundred years old, and belongs to the Sri Vaishnava tradition. It follows the teachings of vishishtadvaita, as propounded by Bhagavad Ramanuja and Srimad Vedanta Desika.

The main spiritual headquarter of the Andavan Ashramam is in Srirangam, where most acharyas of this lineage have spent their saintly lives.

The institution has over 35 centres spread across India and the US. The institution also runs the Andavan Arts and Science College, several veda-patasalas, and goshalas.

The main symbol of worship in the Andavan tradition is the divine sandals of Sri Ranganatha known simply as Rangantha-padukas.

What We Do

01.
